Honda Odyssey / Pilot Infotainment Class Action Settlement

Way back in September of 2019 we wrote about the filling of a class action lawsuit against Honda alleging that certain Honda Odyssey and Honda Pilot and Passport vehicles were sold with defective infotainment systems that caused, among other problems, issues causing the infotainment screen / system to crash and freeze, along with overall sluggish performance.

Almost two years later, a class action settlement has been preliminarily approved by the court hearing the matter. According to the terms of the settlement, Odyssey and Pilot owners are to receive:

  1. A two year / 24,000 mile warranty extension to the infotainment system.

  2. Reimbursement of some out of pocket costs, including battery recharging costs and some transportation expenses if the vehicle was taken to a dealership more than once for the infotainment issue.

  3. Two Years of Free HondaLink Security Service or One Year of SiriusXM Select

Here is the website that goes over the settlement terms, including important dates for potential class members.
