New Nissan TSB Covering CVT Transmission Issues for Nissan Altima and Nissan Rogue CVT Problems

In February of 2021, Nissan issued a new Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) to Nissan dealerships to combat widespread problems with the CVT Transmissions in those vehicles.

NTB 16-110P is titled “2013-2017 ALTIMA AND 2014-2017 ROGUE; 4 CYLINDER WITH DTC P17F0, P17F1, P0776, 2813, P1715, AND/OR P0841 STORED” and if you have the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes shown, it should be applied:

  1. P0776

  2. P2813

  3. P0841

  4. P17F1

  5. P1715

The TSB even references the well known CVT Judder and hesitation that is well known for any Nissan vehicle equipped with a CVT Transmission.

  • Sudden shaking and violent jerking when drivers accelerate.

  • Lag or delay when the driver tries to accelerate.

  • Hard deceleration or “clunk” when drivers slow down or accelerate at low speeds.

  • Complete transmission failures and replacements.
